We’re only a few weeks away from the launch of Monster Hunter Rise, the exclusive Timed Switch that looks set to be one of the biggest titles of the year, but let’s not forget that it will be followed in quick succession by Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin – and the RPG spin-off now has a final release date, with worldwide release on July 9th.
The original Monster Hunter Stories were released in 2017, trying to merge traditional Pokémon RPG / monster capture gameplay with the world of Monster Hunter with some success.
Capcom also took the opportunity to announce a new Monster Hunter Rise demo, which extends the life of the original demo by adding a new nail-hard mission that makes players take on the famous Magnamalos de Rise. It will be available in the eShop from March 11th.
Following its launch on March 26, Monster Hunter Rise will also receive free updates, with the first increasing the HR limit and introducing a new monster in the form of Chameleos.
2021 seems to be quite a year for Monster Hunter. It’s all so exciting that it’s almost enough to inspire me to watch the recently released Monster Hunter movie, which is still waiting for a UK release date. Or maybe not.
