The UK woke up on Monday morning to the news of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired Sunday night on CBS in the United States.
“I am angry to the point of boiling. I am disgusted by what I just saw. This is a two-hour trash-a-thon of our monarchy and royal family, ”said host Piers Morgan on ITV’s“ Good Morning Britain ”.
“They destroy everyone,” added Morgan. “They basically understand that everyone in the royal family is white supremacist. I just don’t think this is acceptable. “
During the interview, which has not yet aired in the UK, Markle revealed that she felt suicidal, and that Harry had communicated to her a family member’s concerns about the color of her then-unborn son, Archie, while Harry said he was hurt that there was no support from his family about the racism that Markle faced in the media.
Morgan’s co-host, Susanna Reid, said: “Anyone who says they felt suicidal and didn’t want to be alive anymore, you need to feel sympathy.”
