Update: We uploaded more photos showing the refueling of the PS5 being prepared at Target stores in the United States before Monday, both at the front (kiosks) and at the back (boxes in stock). Be sure to follow the Twitter tracker below for instant alerts.
TechRadar can confirm that Target employees are preparing for a PS5 refueling that is likely to happen tomorrow morning. A refueling of the Xbox Series X is also ready for the same online ordering process, officials say.
“We have about 8 Xbox consoles and 22 PS5 consoles”, we were informed in a direct message on Twitter by a Target employee who wants to remain anonymous. At three Target stores, employees told us that there are more PS5 Disc Editions and very few, if any, PS5 Digital Editions for Target’s impending refueling.
Target customers across the country are also finding that PS5 stock appears in the kiosks tonight, ahead of the expected sale. Twitch streamer, MyGuyMcFly, took and uploaded a photo to TechRadar, seen below, showing 18 PS5 consoles in stock at a local Target in Minnesota, suggesting they are ready for tomorrow morning.
🚨🚨 I’m getting a lot of pictures showing that Target is preparing the PS5 Disc for sale tomorrow. In addition, three Target employees also said they have stock of PS5 and Xbox for an online-only purchase (in-store pickup). All three employees we spoke to live in different parts of the United States, so there is a good chance that this is a national refueling. We saw something similar two weeks ago, when the PS5 and Xbox Series X were sold online for pickup at the store. The consoles only lasted a few minutes before Target ran out of stock.
Professional tip: Target places orders only online, but allows pick-up at the store. This means that some stores, especially those in large cities, will run out more quickly. Try to adjust the pickup location if the nearest store runs out.
The last time there was a major refueling of PS5 at Target, it happened at 8am EST, so it is best to be prepared to wake up early, even if you are on the West Coast. However, there is no guarantee that Target will launch 8AM EST orders.
TechRadar also has several pictures of boxes behind the scenes at Target showing the inventory of the Xbox Series X and PS5. Initially, we retained these photos until we could ensure that there were no marks that could be traced back to our sources.
You can do two things today. Check the stores below and receive alerts from our PS5 replenishment Twitter tracker.

The PS5 has been nearly impossible to find in stock for more than a few minutes every time stores replenish the Sony console. We are finding that the same can be said about the Xbox Series X. Both Sony and Microsoft launch their respective consoles in November 2020 and have not been able to manufacture enough to meet demand.
Stores like Target, Walmart and Best Buy routinely add new inventories to their stores, and the throng of people who access their websites often blocks the pages.
