The NBA’s 70th annual All-Star game will air on Sunday on TNT and ESPN Radio, live at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
Although the typical star schedule is a little different this year, there will be no shortage of stars on the courts. Here’s what to expect when players enter the court this weekend.
This year, however, the court will see all the All-Star action in one night – including the game itself, a skills challenge, the three-point competition and the dunk break competition.
But not everything is strange. As in previous years, teams will play a fourth indeterminate time for a Final Score – meaning that the game ends with a basket or free throw.
Still according to tradition, the two teams will compete to raise money for the chosen beneficiaries. This year, the teams are playing for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and the United Negro College Fund, which provide scholarships for students of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
Who is playing?
Team LeBron includes Giannis Antetokounmpo from Bucks, Stephen Curry from Warriors, Luka Dončić from Mavericks and Nikola Jokić from Nuggets as starters.
The starting players for Team Durant are Bradley Beal of the Wizards, Joel Embiid of the 76ers, Kyrie Irving of the Nets, Kawhi Leonard of the Clippers and Jayson Tatum of the Celtics.
Each captain’s team consists of 11 players.
How can I watch?
