The release date for Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 has been revealed, you can run Google WearOS

Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 3, and the smartwatch lived up to people’s expectations. And that gives Samsung a solid reason to launch its successor. Well, the company has already started working on it, in fact, it looks like the next Galaxy Watch 4 is in the final stages of development because, according to tipster Ice Universe, the launch of the successor to the Galaxy Watch 3 is not far off.

If the insider is believed, Galaxy Watch 4 will see daylight in the second quarter of 2021, although he did not mention the exact launch date. In addition to Galaxy Watch 4, Samsung also plans to launch Galaxy Watch Active 4 (yes, you heard right, it won’t be called Watch Active 3) in the same quarter. However, it is unclear whether or not Samsung will launch these two smartwatches on the same day.

Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the Galaxy Watch 4, but we can make some assumptions about its specifications. We hope that the smartwatch is available in different sizes and can optionally come with LTE. Other features may include a heart rate monitor, an ECG, GPS and a circular AMOLED screen. And there are rumors that Galaxy Watch 4 will adopt Google’s WearOS, unlike Galaxy Watch 3. There are rumors that all future Samsung smartwatches will be based on WearOS and not TizenOS.

On the other hand, Galaxy Watch Active 4 is not expected to be very different from Watch 4, although we may see some slight differences in terms of designs and features. And just like Watch 4, Watch Active 4 can also be based on WearOS. Again, these are mere speculations at this point, so it is best to wait for Samsung to clear the air on its next generation smartwatches.

How many of you have an Android smartwatch and a Galaxy smartwatch. Which do you prefer and why? We will know in the comments.
