IOWA
(KWWL) – There were 539 new cases confirmed from 10 am on Friday to 10 am on Saturday, according to the state panel, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 339,208.
The state website reports that of the 339,208 people who tested positive, 319,783 recovered. That represents 779 recoveries more than what the state reported on Thursday.
The death toll in the state is 5,552, three more than reported yesterday.
Subtracting the number of recoveries (319,783) and the number of deaths (5,552) from the total number of cases (339,208), we currently have 13,873 active positive cases in the state.
As of Saturday morning, there were 33 patients hospitalized in Iowa in the past 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 170, down from 176 hospitalized the day before. Of these, 38 are in the ICU (below 39) and 10 are on ventilators (above 9).
In Iowa, there were 3,064 people tested in the last 24 hours and a total of 1,575,063 people were tested for COVID-19.
According to the state’s COVID-19 vaccine panel, 793,037 total doses were administered to Iowa residents and 239,265 individuals completed the series, which is 30,836 more than on Friday. You can view the dashboard for more data. You can find more information and stories about vaccines here.
BLACK HAWK COUNTY
From 10am on Saturday, the Black Hawk COVID-19 panel is presenting 21 new cases since 10 am on Thursday, leaving a total of 15,987 cases. There were 21 additional recoveries, totaling 14,237. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 293 deaths. In Black Hawk County, 9,336 residents were fully vaccinated.
LINN COUNTY
From 10am on Saturday, the Linn County COVID-19 panel is presenting 18 new cases since 10 am on Thursday, leaving a total of 19,498 cases. There were 26 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 17,990 recoveries. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 328 deaths in the county. Currently, there are 15 patients admitted to the municipality. In Linn County, 19,617 residents were fully vaccinated.
JOHNSON COUNTY
According status panel At 10am on Saturday, there are 21 new positive cases reported in Johnson County since 10am on Friday. This brings the total to 13,159 reported cases. There were a total of 12,553 recoveries, 22 more reported than yesterday. There was no further death, leaving a total of 75. In Johnson County, 18,248 residents were fully vaccinated.
DUBBLE COUNTY
According status panel at 10 am on Saturday, there were 10 additional positive cases reported in Dubuque County since 10 am on Friday. This brings the total to 12,445 reported cases. There were 27 additional recoveries reported, leaving a total of 11,794. There was an additional reported death, leaving a total of 196. In Dubuque County, 9,613 residents were fully vaccinated.
