Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker will miss Sunday’s All-Star festivities due to a sprained left knee, the league announced on Friday.
He was injured in the 120-98 victory Thursday night over the Golden State Warriors.
The team said in a press release that it is considered everyday and will be reevaluated after the All-Star break.
Booker had previously been chosen by Commissioner Adam Silver to replace Los Angeles Lakers striker Anthony Davis.
The former Kentucky Wildcat was selected third overall by KD team captain Kevin Durant in the NBA All-Star Draft on Thursday night.
Booker was also scheduled to participate in his fifth three-point competition, from which he emerged as the winner in the 2018 edition.
Utah Jazz guard Mike Conley Jr. will replace Booker in the All-Star Game and Sunday’s three-point competition in Atlanta.
The selection will be the first of Conley’s 14-year career.
