Cambria Hotels, a brand of Choice Hotels International Inc., is adding its sixth location in South Carolina as part of its “rapid expansion” plan in the United States at Rock Hill.
The six-story, 110-room hotel, called Cambria Hotel Rock Hill-University Center, is one of four properties opened during the first quarter of 2021 for the brand, including hotels in Orlando, Florida, Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida, and Washington , DC, according to a press release. The brand has 80 hotels under construction or under construction.
Cambria Hotels also has units in Greenville, Fort Mill, Charleston, Mount Pleasant and Summerville.
“South Carolina is known for its high standard of hospitality and a myriad of travel experiences – from picturesque beaches and state park camps to a rich history, culture and upscale dining scene – making it the perfect home for several hotels in Cambria, “Janis Cannon, senior vice president of luxury brands for Choice Hotels, said in the statement.
The Cambria Hotel Rock Hill-University Center is located at 354 Technology Center Way, as part of the new development of the University Center Knowledge Park near Winthrop University and the Old Town Historic District. Sand Hospitality LLC developed the hotel’s property, which includes the 354 SkyBar rooftop bar, a heated indoor pool and 3,500 square feet of meeting space.
