St. Vincent details the new Daddy’s Home album, shares the video for the new song: Watch

After the news appeared on street signs, St. Vincent officially announced his new album Dad’s house and shared his first single, “Pay Your Way in Pain”. The album will be released on May 14 by Loma Vista. Check out the video “Pay Your Way in Pain”, along with the album cover and the list of tracks below.

According to a press release, São Vicente started writing some Dad’s house songs in the winter of 2019, when his father was released from prison after nine years in prison. In a new interview with Laura Snapes to The Guardian, it is revealed that the album’s title track was inspired by St. Vincent taking his father home from prison.

Annie Clark produced her new album with Jack Antonoff. In addition to Clark and Antonoff, the album features performances by Cian Riordan, Evan Smith, Sam KS, Greg Leisz, Daniel Hart, Michael Leonhard, Lynne Fiddmont and Kenya Hathaway.

St. Vincent’s last studio album was in 2017 MASSEDUCTION. Clark later shared several versions of the album, including a simplified acoustic version from 2018 (MassEducation) and a 2019 remix version entitled Nina Kraviz presents Rewed masseduction.
