Doom 3: VR Edition comes out on March 29

The classic of exterminating demons and spraying blood Doom 3 is finally getting a version of virtual reality. The first person shooter from id Software will arrive on PlayStation VR on March 29 and can be played on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 (through backward compatibility). Doom 3: VR Edition will feature the original game and its expansions – Resurrection of Evil and The Lost Mission.

Doom 3 puts you in the position of a space marine who must fight a catastrophic invasion of aliens on the colonized planet of Mars. The franchise is known for its unique blend of horror and first-person shooter elements that many have tried to adapt for VR. Former software programmer John Carmack demonstrated a prototype of Doom 3 on RV at QuakeCon 2012, there were fan adaptations, and Bethesda made a standalone VR game based on 2016 Doom restart – but nothing on the scale of today’s ad.

The new edition features updated graphics and adds a number of features to enhance its functionality with VR headsets, such as a quick 180-degree turn to react to demons and a screen on the wrist so that the player can monitor vital signs such as health, armor and ammunition.
