Bobby Lashley sat down with Ryan Satin for Fox Sports’ last 1-on-1 interview, and the new WWE champion revealed Vince McMahon’s backstage reaction to the WWE RAW championship win.

Vince McMahon grabbed Lashley backstage and gave him a big hug. The WWE chief told Lashley that he was proud of the superstar, and it was a behind-the-scenes moment that the 44-year-old veteran will certainly never forget.

“When I was able to get through that curtain [after winning the WWE Championship] and give Vince a hug, he grabbed me and hugged me for a while and said, ‘Dude, I’m proud of you.’

“You’re not here to have fun. Vince doesn’t want you here to have fun. Vince wants to get into an argument with you because you’re fighting for something you want. Vince wants you to get out of the box and do something bigger.”
Bobby Lashley talked about the momentum Vince McMahon wants his talent to have. The boss’s vision and the contributions of several other legends led Lashley to do more extraordinary things in the company.
“Vince wants you to want WrestleMania so much that the crowd forces them to give you that title. I think I started getting to that point last year, several months definitely. I’ve been bad, man. I’ve been bad. I go out there with a revenge, and there’s a lot of confidence going through me. “
