Digging up PS5 refueling remains a big problem. That’s thanks to the standard PS5 ($ 499) and the PS5 Digital Edition ($ 399) that sell out in no time, as soon as they are back in stock.
But if you’re trying to figure out where to buy a PS5, check this page and always check back for the latest updates on all things on the PS5, as we’re tracking all PS5 restocking as and when they happen.
Where to buy PS5: Check your PS5 refill right now
As of March 1 at 4:50 am Eastern Time, PS5 refueling is not available. Walmart will allow you to sign up to receive in-stock alerts from your regular PS5, which can help you purchase the console when it comes back.
Fortunately, a regular informant for PS5 stock says that millions of consoles will arrive each month by April. In the meantime, you can use the links below to check where to buy the PS5.
Where to buy PS5: latest stock updates, who to follow
Fortunately, there seems to be some relief from PS5 refueling on the horizon. PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan said the PS5’s inventory will increase every month. He cites the pandemic and its effects on the semiconductor market as a major factor in the cause of the PS5 scarcity. However, he notes that the company is working “as hard as possible” to increase production.
In the meantime, one of the best ways to find out when PS5 refueling reaches online retailers is to follow the Sony Twitter Account. We also recommend following Twitter accounts, such as @ PS5StockAlerts, @GYXdeals, @ PS5Drop and @ Wario64, who are generally the first to have the latest availability updates. Keep in mind that availability may also be regional and limited to select stores.
Either way, be sure to keep this page checked and check the retailer’s listings regularly.

How to buy PS5: essential tips
Get ready: Make sure you have all the details of the correct two-factor payment and authentication card available and on hand when you find a PS5 ready to buy. The units can be so fast that if you’re trying to find your credit card, you may miss the chance to secure a PS5 order.
Select a retailer: As you can see from our list above, there are a lot of retailers to choose from, which can really make the whole process of buying a PS5 a little tricky. We suggest that you select some of the top retailers, such as Walmart and Amazon, and keep an eye on the PS5 landing pages.
Sign up for inventory alerts: Many retailers offer to alert you when PS5 is in stock. We suggest that you subscribe to these services for the retailers offering them.
Find the right product page: It may seem obvious, but make sure you are on the purchase page for the PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition. If you’re on a landing page, you could end up losing the moment new inventory arrives.
Log in to retailers: Be sure to sign in to all retailers where you already have an account. This will make things a lot faster when buying a PS5 if you find one for sale. And speed is essential today.
Keep updating and don’t give up: It can be a bit demoralizing to try to find PS5 stocks when they all look sold out. But regularly update the product pages to see what appears; you can be lucky. Also check back here for PS5 stock updates.
You can also make a habit of checking out Slickdeals, the online collection of offers ranging from home appliances to game consoles like the PS5. The site has some forum topics specific to everything PS5 users keep updating. If you follow the topic, go to the last page and keep updating to stay on top of the latest news.
It is also a good idea to check out some of the subscription-based wholesale retailers, such as Sam’s Club, BJ’s Wholesale Club and Costco. You need a paid subscription to buy from these retailers, but that means reduced competition to get a unit there. It may be necessary to overpay for a package, but it is worth checking out these locations anyway. There are currently no online listings for these retailers to check, but it may be worth going to each physical store to try your luck at this point.
It has been a very difficult process during this generation of console to catch any kind of next generation purchase. But as we approach the holidays, it is highly likely that there will be additional PS5s available for purchase at some point, as Sony will reach out to those who wish to purchase PS5s.

Where to buy PS5: Avoid the PS5 money changers
Unfortunately, one of the main reasons for the shortage of PS5 consoles is due to the money changers. These opportunistic people have been using bots to scan retailers for PS5 inventory when it becomes available and buy as many consoles as they can at one time.
Once they have the highly desirable console, they will sell it at exorbitant prices, usually for thousands of dollars. Business Insider reported that a dealer managed to get 200 PS5 consoles and managed to sell them for more than $ 40,000.
While this is not illegal, it is not exactly the most morally sensible thing to do. But at least it’s not as bad as some people who pretend to sell PS5 consoles on eBay simply by posting pictures of the console and tricking people to bid for them when there was no PS5 on offer.
It may seem absurd to buy a PS5 for more than $ 1,000, especially since its line of launch games is not particularly deep. But with the coronavirus pandemic, making more people stay at home, some PlayStation fans are clearly desperate to get their hands on a new console to keep them entertained.
We advise you to avoid buying from these resellers, whether they are fake or not. At $ 499, the PS5 is still a fairly expensive console and currently doesn’t have a huge game library. So, if you can wait until the end of this year, there are likely to be many more PS5 games to choose from and Sony should have more consoles available.
