Golden Globes’ technical failures ignite stars, viewers react: ‘Can you hear me now?’

As the Golden Globe went virtual this year amid the coronavirus pandemic, viewers couldn’t help but notice glaring technical problems.

During the evening’s first awards, viewers were unable to hear Daniel Kaluuya’s acceptance speech after he won the best supporting actor performance in any film. He won the honor for his role in “Judas and the Black Messiah”.

After seconds of silence, the cameras returned to presenter Laura Dern, the issues were resolved and the cameras returned to Kaluuya, 32.

“Can you hear me now?” he joked before diving into his acceptance speech.
