First look at Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s interview on Oprah

Meghan Markle is about to say that life in the royal family was “almost impossible to survive” in a surprisingly revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The first glimpse of Winfrey’s CBS interview with Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, aired on Sunday night during a commercial break for “60 Minutes”.

And what the couple says to Winfrey is so sensational that the legendary host says, “You said some very shocking things here … wait, wait a minute.”

Cradling her middle, pregnant Markle – who doesn’t speak in the trailer – looks at the billionaire media mogul while Winfrey asks her, “Were you silent or were you silenced?”

Winfrey adds: “I just want to make it clear to everyone that there is no off-topic”.

At another point, she says to Markle: “It seems that we almost didn’t survive as if there was a breaking point”.

Wearing a Giorgio Armani dress with a belt that sells for $ 4,700 and with her hair pulled away from her face, Markle, 39, is then accompanied by her 36-year-old husband.

The couple shakes hands with Harry, who has always talked about his grief over the death of his mother, Princess Diana, and said to Winfrey: “My biggest concern was history repeating itself.”

Speaking more about his mother, who in his famous 1995 BBC interview with Martin Bashir broke her silence about the Prince Charles affair with Camilla Parker Bowles, Harry makes it clear that he is still distressed by her death.

He says: “You know, for me, I’m really relieved and happy to be sitting here talking to you with my wife by my side, because I can’t even imagine what it must have been like for her to go through this process on her own for so many years.

“Because it’s been incredibly difficult for both of us, but at least we had each other.”

Winfrey’s interview was extended to an exclusive two-hour primetime special that airs on Sunday, March 7.

The pair will discuss their decision to leave the royal family and move to California with their baby son, Archie.

A source told Page Six of the tell-all, “It’s deep and fascinating.”
