Everything you need to know about free March 2021 games

PS Plus subscribers will have four free games in March. See what they are and what you need to know about them.

Each month, PlayStation Plus subscribers get access to several new games that can be kept while they are subscribed to the service, which sells for $ 59.99 a year. In February, Sony gave subscribers three games: Destruction AllStars, Control: Ultimate Edition and Concrete Genie. Starting on March 2, players will have four games: Final Fantasy VII Remake, Remnant: Das Cinzas, Model and Farpoint.

Here’s what you need to know about Final Fantasy VII Remake, Remnant: Das Cinzas, Model and Farpoint. In addition to these games, Destruction AllStars will still be available to those with a PlayStation 5 for free until April 5.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

A reinterpretation of Square Enix’s beloved PlayStation 1 RPG, Final Fantasy VII Remake follows Cloud Strife and a resistance group called Avalanche in their struggle to bring down the sinister Shinra Electric Power Company, which is destroying the planet with the use of Mako energy. In addition to more action-based combat, Final Fantasy VII Remake further incorporates and adds to the events of the original game.

The PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake currently holds 87 on Metacritic. Generally, combat, history and other additions to the game were praised, although some criticism was made of the graphics and padding. In addition, this free version of Final Fantasy VII Remake is not eligible for a PlayStation 5 digital update.

Remnant: Das Cinzas

Developed by Gunfire Games, Remnant: Das Cinzas is an action RPG originally released in 2019. Set in a post-apocalyptic land that was dominated by a being called The Root, Remnant: Das Cinzas is generally compared to souls series of games, although there are certain adjustments and the game has a less limited multiplayer mode.

The PlayStation 4 version of Remnant: Das Cinzas holds a 77 on Metacritic. Overall, the reviews praised the combat, mechanics and difficulty of the game. However, Remaining was criticized for being a little difficult to get in initially, as well as for some execution problems.

Model

Developed by Graceful Decay, Model is a first-person puzzle game that shows players manipulating and twisting their world to solve challenges. Sony’s listing for the game notes that PS5 game help can be useful for solving some of the Escher-type puzzles.

There are no comments available for Model at the time of writing, March 2 will be the game’s official debut. Model it will also be available only to those with a PlayStation 5.

Farpoint

Developed by Impulse Gear, Farpoint originally launched in 2017. The game is a first person shooter that takes advantage of PS VR and can only be played with this equipment. At the Farpoint, players find themselves on a strange planet, where they are in conflict with the inhabitants of the world.

Farpoint has a 71 on Metacritic, with comments noting that the game is a solid VR experience, while criticizing its limitations and configuration.

How did PS Plus subscribers fare in March?

Overall, March is a pretty solid month for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Final Fantasy VII Remake is one of the best games of the previous generation of the console, which means that it alone is worth the entry price to subscribers.

Control: Ultimate Edition and Concrete Genie are available until March 1st. Final Fantasy VII Remake, Remnant: From the Ashes, Maquette, Farpoint and Destruction AllStars will be available until March 2nd through April 5th.
