For the first time since former LSU and Louisiana Tech offensive striker Willie Allen promised the Wolverines last fall, Michigan football added a player from the NCAA transfer portal.
Coming from the 2018 recruiting class, Alan Bowman was a three-star quarterback from Grapevine (TX). A professional QB, Bowman played for three seasons at Texas Tech, where he completed 67% of his passes for 5,260 yards and 33 touchdowns for 17 interceptions in 713 attempts. And on Sunday, he is joining an ongoing battle between Cade McNamara and former five-star JJ McCarthy, when he announced on Twitter that he is committing himself to the Wolverines.
Although he has played 19 games in three seasons, he has redshirted his second year, and has two years left of eligibility.
