New Cases
686 new cases were reported, for a total of 370,770.

Testing
Another 6,752 people were tested, totaling 2,201,426. The continuous average of positive tests over seven days is now 681 per day, or about 12.2% of those tested.

Hospitalizations
Currently, 223 people are hospitalized. Since March 2020, 14,664 Utahns have been hospitalized with COVID-19.

Deaths
22 new deaths were reported, for a total of 1,929 across the state. Of the recently reported deaths, 19 occurred before February 6, 2021. The recently reported deaths include:

  • between 65-84, a resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at the time of death

  • between 65-84, resident of Beaver County, hospitalized at the time of death
  • over 85 years old, resident in Utah County, resident in long-term care institution
