Jairzinho Rozenstruik is not happy with the effort he made in Saturday’s loss to Ciryl Gane at UFC Fight Night 186.
Rozenstruik (11-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) was named in Gane’s unanimous decision (8-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) in his main heavyweight attraction, which took place at UFC Apex in Las Vegas. He did not produce a single round of victory on any of the scorecards and made only 42 significant hits over the course of 25 minutes.
The hesitation to pull the trigger with his attack proved to be problematic for Rozenstruik, and it cost him a great time in his career. He is aware of this, and in his first post-fight statement he admitted that he dropped the ball.
“I just fought and the fight didn’t go out of my way,” said Rozenstruik in the Twitter. “I think it’s my worst performance ever, if you ask me. I am hard on myself. I think I realized that. “
There is only one proven method of recovering from a disappointing loss: move on. Rozenstruik said he is already doing this and is focused on returning to the gym to solve the problems that plagued him within the octagon.
Rozenstruik said he does not know when or who he will fight against, but for now he has given Gane credit for being the best man at UFC Fight Night 186.
“I’m going to come home and work hard for my next fight,” said Rozenstruik. “I don’t know who it will be. Respect to Ciryl. He won the fight.
