Black Ops Cold War February 27 patch notes: stability and UI fixes

In addition to adding new maps and content to Black Ops Cold War, Treyarch also changed some of the game’s existing maps – namely Cartel – in Season 2.

The subtle alteration of an original map can transform it from one of the oldest maps in the game into a completely new and revitalized sensation. Treyarch had previously announced that the much-maligned Miami map would have a more attractive version of itself in season two.

In the meantime, in addition to the new Apocalypse map, we also obtain a more updated version of one of the game’s founding maps – Cartel.

While maps like Moscow and Crossroads flourished and became fan favorites in the Cold War Black Ops, Cartel suffered a quieter reception.

It is not a bad map, but it received negative reception, right in its Beta test, due to the large bushes that obscure crucial parts of the map.

These intrusive barriers were finally recognized by Treyarch, who finally listened to the Black Ops crowd in the Cold War and brought them down properly.

The official Treyarch blog posted photos showing the before and after saying:

“In the Cartel, we brought in the hedge trimmers and made several requested coverage adjustments across the map, reducing the height of the bushes in certain locations to make engagements more predictable.”

There is definitely a big improvement on the map, as your line of sight is much clearer and allows you to see more clearly from one side of the map to the other.

While combats had an element of unpredictability before, they are now more complete, allowing greater comfort when moving around the map.

With all the changes that Season 2 has made so far, like new Operator packages and the exciting new Outbreak mode, it’s nice to see Treyarch update the old content as well.
