SB Nation Reacts: The best QB choices of the 16 draft left a lot to be desired

After the 2018 season, three defenders seemed destined for greatness after their third season. Since then, things have changed dramatically and the 2016 NFL Draft has turned upside down.

In that draft, the Los Angeles Rams selected Jared Goff as the first overall choice. Carson Wentz followed, chosen by the Philadelphia Eagles. The Dallas Cowboys did not select Dak Prescott until the fourth round, the eighth defender won. Three seasons later, all three were leaving the playoff seasons and had made it to the Pro Bowl.

Now, Wentz and Goff are on new teams, while Prescott is in contentious contract negotiations with the Cowboys. So, after five years, where do the defenders sit with the fans?

According to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey, fans across the country expect Prescott to have the best season of the three in almost every major category. Most importantly, a small plurality of fans think Prescott and the Cowboys are going to win most games. With 46% of the votes going to the Cowboys, 41% chose Wentz and Indianapolis Colts, and 12% chose Goff and Detroit Lions.

When talking about the defender’s game specifically, an even larger majority think Prescott will have the best season, even after his injury last year. 72 percent of fans think Prescott will score more touchdowns (passes and runs), followed by 18 percent for Wentz and 10 percent for Goff.

Even the pure pass should favor Prescott, according to fans. 61 percent of fans think Cowboys QB will have the highest passer rating this season, followed by 20 percent for Wentz and 19 percent for Goff.
