There are great things in the future of PlayStation 5. Horizon: Forbidden West, God of War, Final Fantasy 16, as well as the late Gran Turismo 7. But aside from the fact that these games exist, we don’t know much about them. I hope that will change on Thursday.

After Nintendo announced last week Splatoon 3, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD and Mario Golf: Super Rush in their presentation for Nintendo Direct, Sony announced that it will have its own presentation for Thursday in State of Play.

The previous State of Play in October was all about the next PlayStation 5 and its user interface. On Thursday, State of Play will focus entirely on games.

How to watch

Easy peasy: Right here!

Or, if you prefer Twitch, right here.

Start time

The game state starts at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET on Thursday, February 25. The British will take a peek at the next PlayStation games before bed, as it starts 22:00 GMT. Sony’s presentation begins with the Australian business day, playing from 9 am Friday AEDT.

What to expect

Sony says State of Play will focus on 10 games that will arrive on PS4 and PS5, which will include new ads, as well as updates on the games shown on the PS5 showcase last June.

This is potentially great news, because games shown at the PS5 showcase last June include Horizon: Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7 and a PS5 edition of Grand Theft Auto 5. We hope to also see more of God of War: Ragnarok, which is tentative scheduled for a launch in 2021.
