PlayStation Plus games announced for March 2021

Sony revealed that the PS4 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Maquette, Farpoint VR and Remnant: From the Ashes are the PlayStation Plus games of March 2021. Announced on the PlayStation Blog, all four games will be available for free to PS subscribers Plus of March 2. The blog confirms that the PS Plus version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake will not offer a free update to Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade on PS5.

We rewarded Final Fantasy 7 Remake with an 8/10 review, saying that it “allowed me to relive (part of) a classic in a wonderful way, while also standing out as a great RPG by itself”. Although this version of the PS4 will not be updated to the new version later this year, it is clear that it is compatible with the PS5.

Maquette is a recursive puzzle for PS5 by Graceful Decay and Annapurna Interactive, and will make its debut on PS Plus. The game stars Bryce Dallas Howard and Seth Gabel as the romantic couple Kenzie and Michael, who are characters who will guide players through the game, but will not be “explicitly seen on the screen”.Remnant: From the Ashes is a shooting game inspired by Dark Souls that we received a rating of 8/10, calling it “a cooperative action RPG that is punitive and grotesque, but exciting and beautiful at the same time.”

Farpoint VR won a rating of 7.5 / 10, as we said, “the fantastic shooting and freedom of movement differentiates the Farpoint from the PSVR from most VR shooting galleries.”

You have until March 1 to claim two of February’s free PS Plus games, Control: Ultimate Edition and Concrete Genie, but you can get Destruction All-Stars for free until April 5.
