Rumors of PS5 remastering Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas can finally be announced today on the new PlayStation State of Play. Although a new leak has GTA fans anticipating the revelation of GTA 5 on PS5, some new provocations in the GTA forums and some also anticipating the mentioned announcement. For weeks, insiders and leakers from the popular forum site have been reviving these three PS2 era classics GTA games, and now some are provoking that today is finally the day they will be announced.
In the GTA Forums, the user “ClimaCool” recently and apparently provoked that something was going to happen involving these games on February 25th. The fact is that this provocation was shared before the PlayStation State of Play was announced, giving some credit to the belief that it was some kind of inside information.
That said, it is possible that it was a provocation about GTA 5 news rather than GTA Trilogy news and of course this can also be nothing more than a happy coincidence.
Fortunately, we don’t have to wait long to find out what exactly is going on here. At the time of publication, PlayStation State of Play is about three hours away.
At the moment, no party involved – Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, nor Sony – commented on any of the above information. If that changes, we’ll definitely update the story, but don’t expect it to happen. Not only do the three maintain a very strict “no comment” policy when it comes to rumors and all information of an unofficial and speculative variety, but it makes no sense to comment on a rumor about a program that is less than three hours away.
