Senator John Kennedy apologized on Thursday for calling Deb Haaland, President Joe Biden’s Interior Department nominee, “crazy job”.
The Louisiana Republican said he regrets the comment about Haaland, explaining that he was looking for another word before calling it “Lenin’s neo-socialist bullshit”.
“I apologize. I was looking for a word for an extremist, which I think is more neutral,” Kennedy said. “And I should have said extremist. I should never have said crazy work.
