We have reached the last week of the regular season before the conference tournaments start on March 3rd. This will be the last effort for many teams to increase their resumes before the NCAA women’s basketball tournament.
Here are three unmissable games in week 14 that I will be looking at:
No. 19 Kentucky at No. 17 Georgia | 19h ET Thursday, February 25 | SEC Network
On Thursday, Kentucky’s No. 19 will face Georgia’s No. 17. This will be the penultimate game for both SEC teams.
Kentucky is coming out of a tough defeat against South Carolina on Sunday. Kentucky was ranked No. 16 in the first selection of the DI Selection Committee for the NCAA women’s basketball tournament.
Georgia, however, was ranked No. 3 seed in 12th overall in the selection committee’s first analysis for its first 16 teams. Bulldogs continue to improve their curriculum, extending a streak of four consecutive wins with a crucial win over the then null. 21 Tennessee on Sunday.

The Bulldogs, who are the first to defend goals in the SEC, will be tasked with closing Kentucky scorer Rhyne Howard. The Gamecocks defeated Kentucky by smothering Howard in defense, limiting her to 12 points in the 2 in 11 shot.
Tune in to the SEC battle to see if Kentucky can find a way to dismantle Georgia’s elite defense.
No. 5 South Carolina at No. 3 Texas A&M | 14h on Sunday, February 28 | ESPN2
This is the game of the week. There will be a clash on Sunday at the SEC, when number 5 in South Carolina faces number 3 in Texas A&M at the end of the regular season for both.
Texas A&M is 8-0 against qualified opponents this season, but the Aggies have yet to face one of the top five. This will be an opportunity for Texas A&M to help your chances of being the first place if the Aggies manage to beat the Gamecocks. It could also crown the Aggies as the SEC’s regular season champions.
It will be fun to see Aggies match Gamecocks. Both teams are dominant in painting, play at a fast pace and have several weapons on the back and front courts.
But the emphasis will be on painting and boards, with South Carolina ranked second in the country in rebounds. The Gamecocks feature Aliyah Boston and Victaria Saxton inside. The duo will face N’Dea Jones and Ciera Johnson, from Texas A&M.

No. 8 Maryland in Northwestern | 4 pm on Sunday, February 28 | ESPN2
Later on Sunday, Maryland’s number 8 will meet the Big Ten Northwestern enemy for the first time this season.
This is Northwestern’s first week out of the AP’s top 25 this season. A win over the nation’s eighth team could boost Northwestern’s curriculum. But Wildcats will have to go through Maryland’s most important scoring attack in the country, averaging 93.4 points per game.
Country runner-up Angel Reese returns to the Maryland squad after suffering an injury four games this season. Reese back on the spin adds five Terps on the court, averaging two-digit points.
Ashley Owusu leads Terps with 19.6 points per game, but Maryland is capable of having a new top scorer any night. Katie Benzan comes from a 29-point performance, dropping eight points out of 3 at one time and nine overall against Iowa on Tuesday. Diamond Miller comes after her with 27 points, while Owusu has 24 points.
Northwestern will look to Veronica Burton’s elite defense to contain the Terps. Burton leads the country in steals per game, stealing 4.2 steals per game while leading the Big Ten in steals for the third consecutive season.
