Zach LaVine is officially an NBA All-Star. At the end of a career season across the board, the Bulls guard won reserve honors in the East through the coach’s vote.
In response, the Bulls de LaVine teammates turned to social media to congratulate him:
During part of LaVine’s debut year with the Minnesota Timberwolves, he and Young were teammates. Young still occasionally refers to that season, when LaVine was ‘his rookie’, when reflecting on LaVine’s growth.
Jamal Crawford, another electric scoring point guard in the history of the Bulls, also interjected:
“Zach has been unbelievable for us this year,” said Bulls coach Billy Donovan in a statement released by the team. “He played as an All-Star all season and really took his game to the next level. I know how hard he works and what that recognition means to him. I am very happy for him and I want to congratulate him for this well deserved tribute. “
The 2021 All-Star game is scheduled to take place on March 7 in Atlanta, Georgia. For the first time in seven NBA seasons, LaVine won his ticket.
