Stadia’s next exclusive game is ‘PixelJunk Raiders’

Although Google Stadia no longer has its own game development studios, it will still launch exclusive games. The next one that will come to the platform is Q-Games’ PixelJunk Raiders.

The last entry in the long PixelJunk series is an action-adventure game. You will play as a mercenary whose goal is to save the planet Tantal from alien forces. You will need to search for weapons and resources.

PixelJunk Raiders it is similar to a roguel, so it will look different each time you play. It presents procedurally generated environments full of settlements, underground canteens, gorges and monolithic temples and the world will evolve as you explore it. Q-Games was inspired by the British sci-fi comics of the 1970s and Jean Giraud’s Moebius while building this world.

The game supports Stadia’s State Share feature, which allows for asynchronous multiplayer gameplay. Your shared game states will include towers, traps and devices that you have placed, so that other players can explore the world exactly as you left it.

PixelJunk Raiders will arrive at Stadia on March 1st and costs $ 20. Stadia Pro subscribers can claim it for free.
