Tom Holland is tight on Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield Cameos on ‘Spider-Man’

Earlier in the day, the actor left the internet on a wave when he suggested a possible title for the new webslinger superhero photo.

Tom Holland sat down with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday to talk about the future Spider man film, which became a trend topic earlier in the day after the actor was among several cast members who teased a possible title and made the internet go wild.

‘So happy to announce the new Spider man title, “Holland wrote on his Instagram account along with a photo.” I can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been up to. Atlanta love. “The next photo contained the title,”Spider-Man Phone Home“in the classic source. The post received over 3 million likes and some curious comments – including one from his fellow star Zendaya, who wrote:” What the hell. “

There was no mention of the actual title during Holland’s appearance, although Fallon questioned the actor about whether Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would have cameos in the film, as is rumored. “It would be a miracle if they could hide it from me,” laughed Holland, clarifying that she obviously read the script from beginning to end.

The film is being shot in Atlanta, on a stage where the Netherlands auditioned for Spider man. The actor revealed that his brother Harry has a cameo in the film, which came after he played the role of a drug dealer in Cherry. “We kind of had the idea that in all the films I would be in, Harry would repeat his role as the agitator boy,” said Holland. “So he’s back in his own kind of Cinematic Universe MCU as the boy who shakes ecstatic transactions.”

The film, by director Jon Watts – who directed the previous Spider-Man: Homecoming and Far from home – is scheduled for release on December 17th.

Talking more about Cherry, Holland talked about why he wanted to do the police drama project. “I needed to educate myself about the problem,” said Holland, referring to the opioid epidemic. “I wanted to shed light on a problem that is on everyone’s doorstep.”

Holland added: “I hope people can watch this film and feel more confident to open up and seek help.”

He said he lost 13 pounds for the film, and then at one point the Russo brothers – co-directors of the film – reversed things about him and he had to lose some weight again after putting it on again. “I love the Russians and would do anything for them, but I really thought they were going to kill me,” laughed Holland.

Cherry opens in theaters on February 26 and on Apple TV + March 12.
