The prominent Republican responded to a recent interview with CNN in which Fauci refused to provide a recommendation on whether vaccinated grandparents can visit their unvaccinated children and grandchildren.
“I was very frustrated when I saw this clip,” said McCain. The TV presenter then emphasized that she has “respect” for the “tragedy” of the coronavirus pandemic and did not want to appear to “minimize” its devastating impact.
“That said,” added McCain, “next week, it will be a year since we left the studio and I have been very responsible in many different ways, as so many Americans have been. And the fact that Dr. Fauci is passing on CNN and cannot tell me that if I get the vaccine, I will be able to have dinner with my family.

But it was McCain’s suggestion that Fauci doesn’t understand science and should be removed from his federal position that seemed to irritate some viewers.
