The Washington football team apparently surpassed expectations in the first year of new coach Ron Rivera. Although the team ended with a 7-9 record, it ended up in the playoffs because of the weakness of its division. However, this does not mean that your team has no advantage. The football team contains many strong defensive players. Former 2020 general second choice Chase Young and 2019 general 26th choice 2019, Montez Sweat, emerged as a formidable duo, and the entire Washington defense gave the league nightmares. With this young team, the team can compete.
However, Washington’s crime did not help. With a revolving door as a defender and lack of weapons, the football team found itself stumbling in the attack. The team ended almost at the bottom of the attack in many areas. Apart from some players, such as wide receiver Terry McLaurin and running back Antonio Gibson, the attack is sterile and needs to be improved.
The goal today is to improve the attack with these free agent hires. The Football Team’s defense is solidified, so if it fixes the other side, it can run the division for a long time. They have some roles to play before they become truly formidable. Who should they target?
Looking at team needs for the Washington Football Team
Clearly, the quarterback is Washington’s greatest need, but with the 19th overall choice in the NFL’s 2021 Draft, they will have to turn to the free agency to get their new guy before bringing Alex Smith back. They could also use another wide receiver to pair with Terry McLaurin, and perhaps another internal offensive lineman on the offensive side of football.
When looking at its front four, Washington is set there, but can look to repair the second and third levels of its defense. They desperately need a real and ample safety free, as well as another cornerback, as Ronald Darby is about to hit the market. Who could they aim for when the new year of the league begins?
