Las Vegas Raiders CB Kemah Siverand arrested after street race incident

HENDERSON, Nevada – Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Kemah Siverand, who signed a future contract for the team last month after spending the second half of the 2020 season on the training squad, was arrested early Saturday after a race incident in Houston, the police announced Monday.

Police officers stopped three of the five drivers, and Siverand, 24, was one of three arrested drivers. According to the Houston Police Department, Siverand was charged with crime for evading prison after he “initially stopped for officers, then continued to drive another kilometer before stopping.”

The Raiders did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Siverand, who was an untrained Oklahoma state rookie, was dismissed by the Seattle Seahawks in August after he was caught trying to take a woman to the team’s training camp hotel. She was using Seahawks equipment in an effort to disguise herself as a player.

The Raiders signed with Siverand for their training team on October 27 and a future contract on January 5.
