Microsoft will hold a Bethesda event next month

Microsoft is preparing to hold a Bethesda-themed event when the $ 7.5 billion acquisition of ZeniMax Media is finalized. This is according to noted GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grubb, who made the statement during a recent GamesBeat Decides podcast (via VGC).

Grubb said, “Yes, I think [Microsoft is] there will be an event for that. I don’t know if it will be a complete event in the direct style, but they will take note of it, talk about it a lot and explain what it means to everyone and kind of talk about the immediate future for both companies becoming one. So, yes, expect that to happen in mid-March. “Grubb says this may be one of Microsoft’s” milestones “for new information ahead of this year’s E3 digital event, and also notes that Microsoft and Bethesda are likely to hold separate E3 conferences this year.

We hope to hear more about Microsoft’s acquisition of ZeniMax as soon as the EU decides to approve the deal on March 5. European Commission antitrust regulators could give the go-ahead for the acquisition or decide to conduct a more thorough investigation into the deal.
