UDOH reports over 200,000 Utahns vaccinated in Saturday’s COVID-19 report

New Cases
778 new cases were reported, for a total of 366,034.

Testing
6,892 new tests were carried out, totaling 2,158,136.

Hospitalizations
242 people are hospitalized with COVID-19. 14,421 Utahns have been hospitalized since March 2020. The continuous average of positive tests over seven days is now 779, or about 13.52% of those tested.

Deaths
Eight new deaths were reported, out of a total of 1,842. Recently reported deaths include:

  • Woman, over 85, resident in Weber County, hospitalized at the time of death
  • Woman, over 85, resident in Salt Lake County, not hospitalized at the time of death
  • Utah County woman, 45-64 years old, hospitalized at death
  • Male, 65-84 years old, resident in Salt Lake County, hospitalized at death
  • Woman, 65-84, resident in Weber County, hospitalized at the time of death
  • Male, 65-84 years old, resident in Salt Lake County, hospitalized at death
  • Woman aged 65 to 84, resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at the time of death
  • Male, between 45 and 64 years old, resident in Salt Lake County, hospitalized at the time of death

Vaccinations
18,383 additional vaccines were administered, for a total of 598,434. 200,651 of those received both doses.
