This brings the total number of cases to 952,306, which includes confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19.
A total of 16,749 people died of COVID-19, plus 56 on Friday.
Between 6 am on Friday and 6 am on Saturday, another 45,153 doses of the vaccine were administered in the state, according to the state’s COVID-19 panel.
The total number of people who have completed their vaccine is now 621,672, representing 5.32% of the Ohio population. Most children are not yet eligible for the vaccine and some out-of-state residents have been vaccinated in the state because they work here.
The state follows the disease control and prevention center’s “case” definition, which includes those diagnosed by genetic PCR or antigen tests, or people diagnosed in a clinical setting – experiencing symptoms that are linked to a confirmed COVID-19 case. , among other criteria.
More than 110 million people worldwide have or had COVID-19 and more than 2.4 million people died of the virus.
More than 28 million people in the United States have or had COVID-19 and more than 496,000 people died from it.
