PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say a delivery driver’s family was found safe after a suspect escaped in the vehicle with the man’s wife and two daughters inside. After a police chase through the streets of Philadelphia, the suspect was taken into custody.
Chopper 3 was on top when the police managed to capture the suspect.

The kidnapping took place on Broad Street with Erie Avenue around 8:40 pm on Friday in northern Philadelphia.

Police said the City View Pizza driver was making a delivery with his 25-year-old wife and 4 and 2-year-old daughters in the car.
That’s when the police say a suspect jumped in the car and ran out with the family inside. Police said the vehicle was found and the woman and children are well.

However, police say the suspect took off in a different vehicle – a 2014 gray Toyota Scion – and was seen heading east in the Spring Garden on 21st Street.

The suspect then led the police in a chase before finally being captured near Franklin Square Park.
