IRVING, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – A mother and father stayed in an Irving park around 5 pm on Friday, February 19.
The couple and their two children were walking through Thomas Jefferson Park in northwest Irving when their mother slipped and fell into the lake across the ice.

Her husband, trying to save her, also fell.
When the first respondents arrived there, an Irving policeman and fireman also fell into the water.

The mother is in serious condition. The father was not so hurt.
The officer and the fireman are expected to be well.
