The book is the first in a six-part saga launched by Chainani and was an instant bestseller by the New York Times when it was published in 2013.

Theron did a great job balancing her career with being a mother.

Last year, Theron praised his daughters as ‘beautiful powers’.

The actress is the mother of two adopted children, Jackson, eight, and August, five, and praised the children at the celebration of National Daughters Day in September.

She wrote beside a family portrait: ‘My heart belongs to these two beautiful powers. I will never be the same. Happy #NationalDaughtersDay. ‘

Meanwhile, the Old Guard actress recently spoke about having honest conversations with her daughters about racial injustice amid the Black Lives Matter movement, while praising them for ‘becoming little warriors in their own right’.

She explained: ‘Yes, I think it is important. On the day I became a father, I swore I would always tell the truth in a way that they could handle. It is a very important moment to not be completely transparent … They have been very active in the protest … They grew up with it and became little warriors on their own. ‘

And in a separate interview, she shared: ‘As a mother, it has been a difficult time. I think that all parents, we want to believe that we have time. And the world kind of rocked me in a way that I realized I don’t have time.

‘There was a time when I felt that a little bit of my children’s innocence was taken from them during this period, because I had to sit down with them and have very, very difficult and honest conversations about some really ugly things in our world today that they need know. I want you to know why I want to create two little warriors.

Charlize also said earlier that she wants her daughters to ‘see themselves’ represented both in cinema and ‘in life’.

She added: ‘I am the mother of two little black girls and I want them to grow up in a world where they see themselves, where there is an awareness that they can be whoever they want because they see it. And this is not only in the cinema, it is in life too. I want to involve them in a world where they feel they belong and can shine and can live to their full potential. ‘
