Elon Musk tells SpaceX, Tesla looking for ways to help the Texas community in the midst of a brutal winter storm

Elon Musk said that SpaceX and Tesla are “providing direct assistance where feasible” in Texas after the deadly explosion of winter weather overloaded the power grid and left millions of people in the dark and unheated.

On Twitter, Musk wrote that SpaceX is helping in southern Texas while Tesla is helping in central Texas, including rescuing turtles stunned by the cold and helping feed a water treatment plant.

The comments were made shortly after the business tycoon criticized the Texas Electricity Reliability Council (ERCOT) for a statewide blackout that left millions looking for heat amid extremely cold temperatures.

Musk tweeted that the Texas grid manager is not earning an “R” rating.
