New speculations are emerging about fan favorites, Zelda: Twilight Princess HD and Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, which will arrive on the Nintendo Switch later this year.
While February’s Nintendo Direct was surprisingly light on Zelda-flavored news – scroll down to see what did find out, in case you missed it – some are suggesting there’s more to come for Zelda fans, including a tweet from an industry journalist who suggests that remastered Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are coming to Nintendo Switch in 2021. Both have been remastered previously for the Wii U console, and a relaunch on the Switch has been expected for a long time.
“For those disappointed with the Skyward Sword remastering, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are 100% coming this year,” tweeted journalist Andy Robinson after Direct’s last performance. “So this is at least a good Zelda 3D.”

2021 is the 35th anniversary of the Zelda series, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see more games revealed at the end of the year.
Tired of rumors? Here are some facts about Zelda for you …
If you missed it, Nintendo Direct didn’t bring any news about Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, too, except confirmation that a game update would come in late 2021.
But we found out that a game from the Wii era series is planned: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will arrive on Nintendo Switch on July 16, and you can order it now.
Nintendo also announced that Zelda would be decorating the Switch in other ways, with a new Joy-Con design. The right Joy-Con has a purple hue modeled after the Master Sword, while the left is a true blue with red accents, following the classic Hylian Shield color scheme. You can pick them up from July 21st.
