LeBron James is another milestone up in his climb on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
In the first half of Thursday’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets, James became the third player in the league’s history to reach 35,000 points, joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone.
Abdul-Jabbar tops the list of all-time scores with 38,387 points, and Malone has 36,928. As it is this season, James needs a little over 3,300 points to catch Abdul-Jabbar. In all seasons of his career, James scored at least 1,500 points and went from 2,000 points in a season 10 times.
