One new Overwatch 2 the leak came online before BlizzCon 2021, and the leak came in the form of a known and respectable Overwatch pourer. Blizzard has already confirmed that the long-awaited sequel will be at BlizzCon 2021 and that it will have updates to share, but now, it has said nothing about what fans can expect. With the game not being released this year, it’s safe to assume that we won’t have a release date, but at this point, this is probably the only safe assumption to make about the sequel and its presence at BlizzCon this year.
That said, at the right time, Overwatch pourer Subway recently went to Twitter to do what Blizzard won’t do: set expectations. And for that, Metro warns Overwatch fans to lower their expectations, noting that this will be more or less a progress report of the game, and nothing more.
According to Metro, new heroes will be revealed and it looks like this will be the highlight. The leaker also notes that “free-to-play is in progress”, but it probably won’t be revealed at BlizzCon.
Metro also briefly covers the first game, which he says is dead. And for that, he says he does not expect to see a new Overwatch hero at any point.
In addition Overwatch 2, Metro also causes the long rumored Diablo 2 The remaster will also be finally revealed.
Unfortunately, this is where the leak ends and, at the moment, there is no indication that more details will be shared before the event. That said, if more details come up, we’ll be sure to update the story accordingly. In the meantime, take everything here with a grain of salt. Although the source in question has proven to be reliable in the past, nothing here is official and is subject to change.
