The Kentucky Wildcats won their second consecutive victory on Wednesday night, after an 82-78 victory over Vanderbilt Commodores.
Vanderbilt coach Jerry Stackhouse has not been very successful in his two seasons as leader of the Commodores. However, he seemed to let John Calipari actually get to him on Wednesday night.
Due to the coronavirus, teams do not shake hands after games, although coaches still occasionally meet for a quick chat and punches before heading to the locker rooms.
After the victory, Coach Cal showed Stackhouse the “peace” sign, but it was obvious that he wasn’t having it with Cal.
Instead, Stackhouse shooed Calipari off and left the floor with an obvious look of anger, even with a mask. Maybe he was mad at Cal, or maybe North Carolina alumni just hate to lose to Kentucky. Maybe he was just mad that the referees didn’t help Vanderbilt enough in the final minutes.
Since then, Stackhouse has been crushed on social media and many are correctly pointing out that if Cal or Coach K did the same thing, they would be criticized by the national media.
What do you think of Stackhouse’s actions after the game?
