Destiny: the Winx saga will return for a second season, Netflix announced Thursday.
Based on the cartoon of the Italian magic girl Winx Club, Destiny: the Winx saga debuted in January on Netflix. He revolved around Bloom (Abigail Cowen), a teenager who believed she was human for most of her life before discovering her powerful fire fairy heritage. Taken to a magical boarding school, Bloom meets five other fairies: the vain light fairy Princess Stella (Hannah van der Westhuysen), fiery water fairy Aisha (Precious Mustapha), the frowning mind fairy Muse (Elisha Applebaum) and the brave fairy from Earth Earth (Eliot Salt).
While the original series focused heavily on friendships between the girls, the live-action show gave everything a more somber and somber overlap. Bloom’s quest to find out more about his past ends up revealing secrets about covert war crimes and fearsome but charismatic dictators.
The second season will have eight-hour episodes, and the main cast will return. Production will begin later this year, but Netflix has not given a launch window for the second season.
