The past six months have generally been a smooth one for Nintendo. His big Christmas releases were Super Mario 3D All-Stars, a collection of three remastered games and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, a Zelda spin-off. Will the next six months be different? We’re about to find out.
Nintendo Direct, a presentation in which the Japanese gaming giant will announce which games you will be playing on your Switch “in the first half of 2021”, is live now.

What to expect
Nintendo said we will see news in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – probably the next character reveal – in addition, we are likely to take a good look at New Pokémon Snap, which is scheduled for release on April 30. We could also see the game Retro Star Wars Republic Commando coming to Switch. But it’s a 50-minute performance, longer than last July Nintendo Direct Mini, so we are waiting for at least one interesting revelation.
It is possible that we will obtain more DLC for Pokémon sword and shield, as the second of the two previously announced expansion packs was launched Last october. And with the latest Mario releases being remastered – 3D All-Stars and, earlier this month, Wii U’s 3D World – our favorite plumber is about to embark on a new adventure.
