We now have a complete overview of the release of Emoji 13.1 from the Unicode Consortium, which is expected to arrive with the next Apple iOS 14.5 update. In addition to providing more skin tone options to increase inclusion, the new emojis include new smiling faces and hearts.
Most notably, along with more options for the “Person: Beard,“ Man: Beard ”and“ Woman: Beard ”emojis, the“ Couples Kissing ”and“ Couples with Heart ”will also feature more skin tone combinations to represent more pairs . While the new emojis include “Exhaling Face”, “Face with Spiral Eyes”, “Face in Clouds”, “Heart on Fire” and “Mending Heart”. Updates include adding a helmet to the climbing emoji, while the blood syringe will become a vaccination syringe and the simple headphones will now be modeled after Apple’s AirPods Max.
