Volunteers from Tennessee will return to their home court when they receive a South Carolina Gamecocks team that continues to fight in a game that has been delayed until Wednesday night due to COVID-19 contact tracking under the Vols program.
Tennessee (14-5, 7-5 SEC) comes in fifth at the conference and is coming out of a 78-65 road loss to the LSU Tigers on Saturday. Freshman Jaden Springer led the Volunteers with 21 points, seven assists and six rebounds, but it was not enough in defeat. Tennessee’s strength comes at the defensive end of the court, as Volunteers occupy third place in adjusted defensive efficiency.
South Carolina (5-9, 3-7 SEC) is in 12th place in the SEC and arrives with a streak of three losing games. Most recently, Gamecocks were defeated 81-74 at home against Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday. South Carolina’s third-highest scorer, Jermaine Couisnard, left the game in the first half with an ankle injury and did not return. Gamecocks need all the help they can to solve this problem, and there has been no update as to whether Couisnard will be ready to start.

The best bet
Although Gamecocks have had a lot of problems with COVID-19 this season, they tend not to get lost. The contact tracking of COVID-19 means that teams are in short supply in practice, this gives Gamecocks one more day to rest at the time of year they need it.
To choose: South Carolina +11.5
