LastPass is one of the most popular password management suites available. As the name suggests, it allows you to create a master password that then gives you access to all other passwords. They are encrypted and backed up in the cloud.

If you are a free LastPass user, you will have access to most of the platform’s features. Apparently, the company thinks you can have access to also many features, as it is now creating a new limitation for non-paying users.
As revealed on the official LastPass blog, starting on March 16, 2021, the company will block free users on one platform. This means that you will need to choose whether to use LastPass on your phones and tablets or on your PCs and laptops. You will not be able to use both.
Free LastPass users now have a difficult choice
To be clear, LastPass will still allow non-paying users to access its service on as many devices as they want. However, these devices must fall into one of two categories: computers or mobile devices. Computers would mean Windows-based PCs, laptops, macOS-based systems, etc. Mobile devices would mean Android phones, iPhones, Android-based tablets, etc.
On March 16, the first system on which a user logs on for free will become their default platform. After making this choice, they will only need to use that platform or pay for a premium subscription.
To make the transition a little easier, current Free LastPass users can take advantage of a discount for an annual subscription for a single user. Usually $ 36, this will only cost $ 27. This is equivalent to $ 2.25 per month.
