Paying for YouTube on the main service and on Music allows you to download content for offline access. Soon, YouTube TV will allow you to download media for offline access.
After upgrading to YouTube TV version 5.06.2, opening the app will generate a system notification “Looking for incomplete downloads”. This alert is very similar to the YouTube main app and YouTube Music.
The ability to download programs or movies is not yet live, but this alert (and new notification channel) is a sure bet that the feature will come soon and that technical support is included in the latest version.
There are likely to be several restrictions on the availability of offline content, although it is unclear whether everything can be downloaded. There may be channel-by-channel requirements for this feature.

Meanwhile, strings in the app confirm offline capability. YouTube TV will alert you when you don’t have an Internet connection and direct you to a download page to see everything stored offline. A download button should appear when you’re watching a program in an experience that should be familiar to the main YouTube customer.

Version 5.06.2 of YouTube TV is now being released through the Play Store, with the feature likely coming to Android and iOS.
