Although the COVID-19 vaccine is in short supply in San Diego County, occasional scheduling problems, missed appointments and other factors leave a range of doses available at some vaccination sites.
NBC 7 will provide updates on the latest overpaid appointments here. This story will be updated when the latest information is available. Keep checking the details.
Vaccines available:
February 16: Sharp HealthCare opened 2,000 openings for consultations at its county vaccination posts. Consultations are available to San Diego County residents age 65 and older and healthcare professionals. Locations include: Grossmont Center Super Vaccination Station, Chula Vista Super Vaccination Station and a community in Coronado. Discover each location hours and availability here.
February 15th: San Diego Fire-Rescue says consultations are available this week at two of its vaccination sites. People aged 65 and over can schedule appointments from Tuesday to Thursday through the SDFD portal here. On Tuesday, SDFD said it could extend consultations to Friday as well, if there is still availability.
When you finally receive your COVID-19 vaccine, you may be tempted to celebrate by posting a photo of your vaccination card on social media. Resist that desire. LX Host Nik Z spoke to Sandra Guile of the International Association of Better Business Bureaus about how this can make you vulnerable to identity theft and other scams.
