One of the biggest talking points for the Green Bay Packers last season was Aaron Jones’ future. Jones was drawn up by the Packers in the fifth round of the 2017 draft. In the early years of his career, Jones dealt with injuries and limited playing time.
Jones started his 2017 season by not playing much in the first three games. It was Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys, where he first came on the scene. In that game, Jones accumulated 125 yards and a touchdown in 19 races.
It didn’t take long to make another big game, two weeks later against the New Orleans Saints, Jones once again passed the century mark. He ran 135 yards on 17 loads and found the end zone too.
After that, his 2017 went into decline, as he never received more than five races in a game he played in. Jones also lost two games due to an injury at MCL. In 2018, Jones would miss the first two weeks of the season due to suspension.
The 2018 season was when people really started to cry out for Jones to be back in the movie. He was receiving more shipments than in 2017, but he still divided them up a bit. Jones would only end the season with 12 games played, as he would lose the final two games due to the same MCL being injured again.
Aaron Jones really blew up in 2019 over 1,000 yards for the first time and became the double threat RB. When 2020 came to an end, Jones lost two games, but still had a great year. However, the writing may be on the wall for the star RB, as its price range and Green Bay’s coverage space appear to be in two different places.
So let’s look at three destinations that make the most sense for Jones.
